Intended use
PropertyShield+ is for property owners and their authorized household or representatives to stay informed about public record activity related to property they own or are responsible for.
Prohibited uses
- Monitoring or researching property with the intent to harass, stalk, intimidate, or locate a person.
- Using the service or its output for tenant screening, employment, credit, insurance underwriting, or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We are not a consumer reporting agency.
- Scraping, bulk-extracting, reselling, or redistributing data or alerts from the service.
- Automated access, reverse engineering, or attempts to bypass rate limits, authentication, or plan limits.
- Uploading unlawful content to the document vault, or content you have no right to store.
- Sharing one account across unrelated parties to avoid plan limits.
- Any use that violates applicable law or a third party's rights.
Alerts are informational
Alerts describe what appeared in public records. They are not legal advice, not proof of fraud, and not a substitute for a title search, an attorney, or law enforcement. Verify anything material with a qualified professional before acting.
Enforcement
We may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy, and may report unlawful activity. Where a violation is unintentional and corrected promptly, we will normally warn first.
