This Privacy Policy explains how PropertyShield+ ("PropertyShield+", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, applications, and services (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, password hash, avatar, and profile details you provide.
- Property information: addresses you submit for monitoring, normalized address fields, and public-record metadata returned by our data providers.
- Billing information: subscription plan, billing history, and payment metadata processed by Stripe. We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Usage information: log data, device information, IP address, browser type, referring pages, and interaction events.
- Communications: messages you send to support, review submissions, and notification preferences.
2. How we use information
- Operate, secure, and improve the Services.
- Monitor properties you've added and deliver alerts via email, SMS, or in-app notifications.
- Process subscriptions, referral credits, and tax-related records.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. Sharing
We share information only with vendors that help us run the Services (hosting, email, SMS, payments, analytics, customer support, and public-record data providers), with parties you direct us to share with, or where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use first-party and third-party cookies and similar technologies (including the Meta Pixel) for authentication, preferences, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Data retention
We retain account, property, and billing data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You can request deletion as described below.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, row-level security in our database, audit logging for moderation actions, and webhook signature verification. No service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. International users and geographic scope
The Services are operated from the United States and monitor U.S. property records only (all 50 states, D.C., and U.S. territories with digital county records). You may create an account and access the Services from anywhere in the world, but the property you submit for monitoring must be located in the United States. We do not currently collect, store, or process property records for jurisdictions outside the U.S.
If you access the Services from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country. 10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Services or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
